REDRUTH TOWN TRAIL
A short walk around the centre
of Redruth exploring its
historical, architectural and
mining heritage.
These pages guide you on a short walk around the centre of
Redruth, exploring its historic, architectural and mining heritage, starting
and ending at the railway station. It is one of a series of leaflets and
trails which are being developed to help you explore Redruth, its surrounding
historic sites and landscape, proposed as a World Heritage Site.
Redruth sits at the hub of a network of trails and paths associated
with the former mining tramroads, 50km of which are being made accessible
to the public by the Mineral Tramways Project The first stretch to be
completed and waymarked is the Portreath Tramroad.
