Brock is a spacious Arts and Crafts house, which easily accommodates 12 people. The house has had a large extension added and has been substantially refurbished and modernised. Brock has seven bedrooms and five bathrooms (one en-suite). The house now has an additional informal garden sitting room with stunning sea views to provide additional living accommodation.

Brock is perched on the cliffs at Trebetherick Point, at the mouth of the beautiful Camel Estuary, with uninterrupted sea views. The garden runs down to the cliff edge, with safe and easy access to secluded beaches immediately below.
It is a 5 minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach at Daymer Bay and 10 minutes walk to the surfing beach at Polzeath. The area offers limitless activities, including sailing, golf, surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, waterskiing and fishing.

Accommodation
Brock is located on the Greenaway at Trebetherick. It is uniquely positioned with uninterrupted views of both the North Atlantic and the Camel Estuary. The house was built in 1936. Its traditional "Arts and Crafts" design has been retained through a number of original features, but it has now been comprehensively modernised and extended.
Downstairs there are two sitting rooms. The first has an open fire for cooler, winter evenings and a flat-screen TV. The second sitting room is a new garden room with large windows and a window seat for stunning sea views. There are two sets of French doors leading from the Garden Room to a terrace and eating area outside.The garden room has a second flat screen TV with DVD player and video. The house has Wifi broadband throughout.
There is a well-equipped, eat-in kitchen, with a separate utility/drying room. There is also a separate dining room with French Doors opening onto a terrace, which is ideal for outside dining and barbecues.
Upstairs are six bedrooms. There is a new master bedroom suite with a superking size double bed, separate dressing area and large bathroom with separate bath, shower and WC. The remaining 5 bedrooms upstairs are three twin rooms and two singles. There is a new shower room/wetroom and two further bathrooms, both with baths and showers. All bedrooms have sea facing views. There is further twin bedroom downstairs with a separate shower room.
The house is set in over 1 acre of grounds. The main lawn runs from the house to the cliff footpath, which is shielded from view by tamarisk hedges. There is a terrace facing the sea and a more sheltered eating area on the other side of the house.

The Surrounding Area
Cornwall’s natural landscape provides a contrast of wide sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, hidden coves, unspoiled fishing villages, vineyards, countryside and coastal walks, lots of water sports and a mild coastal climate. Brock being in an outstandingly beautiful location overlooking the Camel estuary takes advantage of all these attractions.
Daymer Bay
Daymer Bay is a large and safe sandy beach which is great for swimming, a 5 minute walk along the cliff footpath from Brock. The rock pools are a haven for young children and the acres of golden sands are perfect for buckets and spades and walking. It is also a popular spot for windsurfing, kitesurfing and power kiting. Brae Hill overlooks the beach and offers breathtaking views of the estuary. Just beyond the sand dunes is the beautiful St Enodoc Church, which holds the grave of Sir John Betjeman.
Polzeath and Surfing
A short walk up the coastal path and you reach Polzeath, regarded as one of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall. There are plenty of little restaurants, cafes and surf shops by the beach and you can hire wetsuits and surfboards if you fancy a quick surf or a lesson. Polzeath has lifeguards during the summer months and car parking on the beach or on the cliff above.
Rock and Watersports
Rock is a centre for many water sports including sailing and waterskiing. There is an active Sailing Club and a sailing school with tuition for beginners and hire of dinghies. The Camel Ski School provides instruction for water skiing for all levels. Sea fishing trips can also be booked. Rock also has good sandy beaches and a ferry service to Padstow.
Other attractions
The Camel Trail, once the route of the old railway line (and completely flat), is a brilliant cycling day out for all the family, running from Wadebridge to Padstow. Bicycles can be hired to ride along the trail from either Wadebridge or Padstow. Other attractions locally include the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the beautiful fishing village of Port Isaac, many historic houses and wonderful gardens, castles including Tintagel and family theme parks.
