Welcome to Dairy Cottage
Self Catering Accommodation in Far West Cornwall
Sleeps 4 + cot
Dairy Cottage is a converted milking parlour and was once part of Tregonebris Old Farm, a set of 17th Century, Grade II listed, granite buildings which provided shelter for over ninety head of cattle. Simon and Penny now live in the Old Farm and offer a warm welcome to visitors.
Situated only six miles from Lands End, Dairy Cottage has a separate drive, private parking and extensive gardens. It is part of the ancient settlement of Tregonebris and is within walking distance of a stone circle and an Iron Age village.
Part of the parish of Sancreed, Tregonebris lies in the heart of protected countryside designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage is an ideal base for walkers and beach-lovers being so close to the south, west and north coasts of Cornwall.

About the Local Area
West Penwith
West Penwith (the Land's End peninsula) is the south-westerly tip of England, and the most picturesque part of Cornwall. The landscape is richly diverse - from sandy beaches to dramatic cliff tops; rolling farmland to gorse-covered moors. Surrounded by sea on three sides, West Penwith is an obvious choice for seaside and watersports holidays but is also ideal for wildlife enthusiasts (RSPB bird sanctuaries); walkers (well documented rural and coastal paths), archaeologists and artists, not to mention those who just want to escape and relax for a week or two!
Sancreed
Sancreed is a pretty Cornish village situated north of Penzance. Within the parish there is the Holy well and Carn Euny: a well-known Iron Age settlement. The Newlyn artists, Stanhope and Elizabeth Forbes, Thomas Cooper Gotch and Flora Munnings (first wife of Alfred Munnings) are all buried in the graveyard of the beautiful 16th century village church. The Reservoir just below the village is a bird reserve and fly-fishing lake. Much of the land surrounding the parish is protected by the National Trust.

Art
Penny is also an artist and has a large studio at Tregonebris Old Farm where her works are for sale. She uses brushes sparingly, preferring palette knives to achieve a looser, more atmospheric impression. Although her work is largely figurative, her intention is to bring a little bit of Cornwall onto the walls of a domestic interior.
Art Courses
Day courses, regular weekly slots or short three day courses are all available. For more information please drop Penny a line.
