Rock Cottage is over 400 years old and takes its name from the projecting rock face upon which it is set. This privately owned and picturesque Cornish property is available for weekly or longer stays. So, if you are looking for a really special place for your holiday, then you may like to choose our beautiful riverside cottage which has a magnificent elevated view of the Mawgan Creek on the Helford River. With no neighbours or any other properties in sight, you will have complete privacy. There is nowhere quite like it!
Watch the ever-changing gentle tidal waters ebb and flow, go fishing or enjoy an adventure in our sturdy rowing dinghy. You may, if you wish, bring your kayaks/canoes as these can be stored on our spacious wooden jetty. Discover the wildlife quietly living on the shores; observe Kingfishers, Egrets, Shelducks and much more. Children will have lots of fun catching the river crabs with line and bacon from the jetty. The garden is terraced, well kept and large. Play games, have a barbeque, relax in the recliners with a glass of wine as you soak up the peaceful surroundings.
The cottage accommodates a maximum of four adults and two children. It has efficient central heating by radiators in all rooms, and three beautiful bedrooms including the separate Garden Room, all having fabulous views of the water and surrounding countryside. You will find Rock Cottage beautifully presented, well appointed throughout with modern facilities as well as WiFi and waiting for you. We, the owners, take care of it all so you can relax and enjoy your stay.
