Equipment You will be provided with a guide book which includes sketch maps. This will give you all the information you need to complete the walk, but, if you like to have an ordinary map as well, then we recommend the OS Landranger 1:50,000 or the OS Explorer 1:25,000. You’ll need a good pair of walking boots or walking shoes with deep treads as it can be slippery and muddy underfoot. To avoid blisters do make sure that they are well broken in. A small rucksack, big enough for your day’s needs such as waterproofs, lunch, camera, binoculars and a spare jumper, will be necessary. Really waterproof clothing of some sort is essential. |
Insurance We strongly recommend that you take out a travel insurance policy to cover such eventualities as loss of luggage and cancellation. Details from your local insurance broker. |
