We have a private lake complex suited to beginners, children and the relaxed pleasure fisherman. The Eden Project, numerous beaches, seaside harbours and coastal walks are in easy reach.

The Barn offers ‘upside-down’ accommodation to make the most of the stunning views over our lakes and surrounding countryside. The cottage has:
- Upstairs open-plan living with lounge, kitchen and dining areas

Bed linen and kitchen linen are provided free of charge and you can hire a towel set at £5 per person per week (free to overseas guests).

Staying at East Rose
The holiday cottages at East Rose have been converted from original farm buildings and offer plenty of character including thick stone walls, vaulted roofs and exposed timbers. Tastefully furnished, they offer all the home comforts you could need. The high standard of these family-run cottages, relaxed atmosphere and peace and quiet away from the crowds in a stunning location offer you a wonderful holiday experience in a safe environment for children.
The laundry room is equipped with a washing machine, tumble drier, iron and ironing board. An outdoor whirly washing line is available for guests to use as well.
Outside there is a built-in BBQ located within the lawned area between Barn cottage and the lakes. Picnic tables and benches can be found throughout the site, around the cottages and lakes.

Our Private Lake Complex
Our private lake complex for pleasure fishing is located approximately 100 metres from the cottages and offers a superb extra to your holiday in Cornwall. Originally an area of wetland, the site was transformed in the 1980’s and now includes five lakes, half a mile of landscaped paths and picnic benches and supports a variety of habitats including birds, foxes, badgers and canada geese.
The lakes are best suited to beginners, children and the relaxed pleasure fisherman wanting peace and quiet away from the crowds surrounded by stunning Cornish countryside in a tranquill setting. Our lakes contain Tench, Bream, Crucian Carp, Roach, Rudd and Carp ranging in size up to 3lb.

About the Local Area
Bodmin Moor is a unique upland which has provided unfettered grazing for ponies, sheep and cattle for more than 6000 years. Tranquil, remote and romantic, the ancient moor is a timeless place where it is easy to find peace away from the modern world. Climb the summit of Brown Willy and you have literally left the 21st Century behind.
The closest village to East Rose is St Breward. Located right on the edge of Bodmin Moor, it provides the perfect retreat for families with many great places for a picnic, and endless amounts of freedom for children and dogs! It has a good local store, post office and popular Old Inn & Restaurant. Nearby Blisland also has local facilities including the friendly rural community pub, The Blisland Inn, on the only village green in Cornwall.
Readily accessible, the superb North Cornish Coast offers everything you would expect from one of the most spectacular coastlines in the country; rugged cliffs, intimate sandy coves, sheltered harbours, fishing villages and beautiful open beaches. Tintagel, Port Isaac, Boscastle and Padstow are all within a gentle thirty minute drive from East Rose. To walk along some of the open, white, sandy beaches such as Rock, Daymer Bay, Harlyn Bay and Polzeath or to spend an afternoon in the intimacy of Bossiney or Lundy Coves is a holiday experience that will always linger in the memory.
