The Lizard peninsula, the most southerly part of mainland Britain, might have been deliberately designed as an ideal holiday destination. Within just a few square miles it offers sandy beaches, spectacular cliff walks, unspoiled fishing coves, thickly-wooded creeks and inlets, rolling farmland and a wide expanse of open moorland.

The Lizard is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and you can easily see why. The climate is mild and frost is rare. Daffodils flower as a commercial crop in January and the cliffs and hedgerows are ablaze with wild flowers from February to June. There are spells in October and November as warm as any in midsummer.

ROSE COTTAGE - Sleeps 4

Rose Cottage is a charming, stylish cottage situated in the heart of the cove. It is just far enough rom the main thoroughfare to offer some seclusion and provides ample seating to enjoy meals outdoors on the small terrace. It has a large parking place (although you may be asked to make way for the fishing boats in the event of a storm!). The cottage faces southwest which means that it catches the best of the sun that streams through the two stable doors into the open and airy ground floor.

WYNDLESHORE - sleeps 6

Overlooking Coverack bay you will find Wyndleshore, a traditional Cornish coastguard terraced cottage with whitewashed walls, a small front terrace and raised gardens from where you can appreciate the beauty of the sea in all its moods. You can spend your time watching sailing boats, fishing boats and ocean liners at the same time as enjoying this very comfortable house. The harbour and beach are only two hundred yards away and the village of Coverack offers shops, a good pub and restaurants.

Standing at the top of the beach, Pink Cottage is one of the original thatched cottages in Cadgwith and occupies one of the most beautiful positions in the cove. There are two beaches in Cadgwith separated by a small headland. Pink Cottage overlooks ‘Little Beach’ and on the other side there is the Fishing Beach. The cottage stands out on any picture of Cadgwith because of its pale pink walls, hence its name! It is a cottage full of character and is both spacious and memorable for any holiday.
