When you think of holiday chalets, do you imagine row upon row of identical little boxes? Come to Riviere Towans and see how different things are here! It's a bit like "The Shire". The site covers a large area of sand dunes, which makes this a truly individual place to spend your holiday.

Porthpean is our traditional-style 3 bedroom beach chalet sleeping up to seven people. Having recently been totally refurbished, Porthpean retains many original features while offering all the comforts of a modern home– it’s the perfect coastal retreat, and you’ll feel at home within minutes.

The peaceful Riviere Towans Chalet Camp near Hayle is only 5 minutes walk from 3 miles of golden sands on the northern part of St Ives Bay. Porthpean is nestled within 30+ acres of sea-front dunes, and it's central, flat location with adjacent parking is in sight of the play areas where large open spaces keep the young (and young at heart!) happy.

Well behaved owners are allowed to bring 1 similarly well behaved small dog, at an extra cost of £50.00 per week. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the site, and should not be left alone in the chalet at any time. There's lots to see and do at the pointy end of Cornwall. Nowhere is far away, and wether you're looking for a quiet break and peaceful walks, or an activity packed holiday surfing and building Sandcastles, you can find it all here. There are also many restaurants close by offering a fine dining experience, lots of cheaper and great value cafes, and supermarkets from Lidl to M&S are only a 5 minute drive.

Porthpean has an open-plan living area, with comfy sofas, TV/DVD.There is plenty of dining space and a hand-made kitchen provides plenty of cupboards/work surfaces, and has a fridge with freezer compartment, oven, & microwave. The chalet has new double glazing throughout for 2017, and has been recently refurbished with attention to detail which really makes this a home-from-home. All bedrooms are a great size, with lots of wardrobe/storage space.

One small well behaved dog is welcome. We charge an extra £50 per week to cover the cost of deep cleaning after your stay.

Please don't forget to bring your own bed linen and towels.

There are three bedrooms: one double bedroom with 4’ bed, a twin room with two single beds and a family room with a 4’6” double and single bed. All bedrooms have built in storage and the family room has a travel cot and high chair stored in the double wardrobe should you wish to use them. Porthpean has a fully fitted kitchen and a bathroom with shower, toilet & integral wash-basin.

Riviere Towans is located a short drive (or taxi ride) from Hayle where you will find plenty of restaurants, bars & shopping facilities - including the new West Cornwall Shopping Park, with M&S, Boots (with late night pharmacy), Costa Coffee and Next on your doorstep! If you wish to leave the car at home, there is a local shop and pub only five minutes walk from your door. ASDA and LIDL are both only 5 minutes drive away too, but these days lots of visitors get a home delivery direct to their chalet.

Hayle is a 15/20 minute walk, where you can find pubs for great Sunday lunches, [especially the Cornish Arms] cafe's bars pizza restaurants, other take aways and greatfish and chip shops. You haven't stayed unless you visit Mike at Duckies Cafe for a fantastic breakfast brunch or lunch, tried Antonioni's for a great Italian dinner cooked by the owner, and of course a Philps pasty...a Cornish institution.

There are lots of leaflets in the chalet to tell you about local activities like surfing, paddle boarding, and panning for gold, or just Google!
