This second floor penthouse apartment is favoured with superb sea views from every room. Access is via a beautiful spiral staircase within a purpose built turret at the side of the property. Equipped to the highest standard, fully carpeted and with the benefit of gas central heating and double glazing it is perfect for year-round holidays. Free WiFi.

Double glass doors from the hallway open into the contemporary sitting room with a balcony with a table and 2 chairs overlooking the ocean and the Tate Gallery. The master bedroom with ensuite shower room affords the panorama of Porthmeor beach and headland and the second bedroom has views of the harbour. The kitchen is modern with built-in appliances including a washer/dryer and dishwasher and has a Baby Gaggia Coffee machine and Alessi equipment. The family bathroom has a bath with shower attachment.
Included within the rental rate for all bookings is the use of the old police garage (5 minutes' walk) for surfboard storage/car parking (please note: the garage is 16'8'' by 9' maximum width with a 7' standard door so is not suitable for very large vehicles). Car parking is also available accross the road from the apartment on Barnoon public car park (weekly tickets available).

Bedrooms: | 2 bedrooms, sleeps a maximum of 4 people. Bedding provided and changed weekly. Bedroom 1 - 1 Large Double Bed, en suite. The accommodation is very clean and tidy, the rooms are very spacious and the decor is tasteful and modern with lovely art work (some painted by the owner). The main bedroom has an ensuite shower room and there is a separate bathroom as well which is very handy. The view from the lounge/dining area and main bedroom are amazing with lovely sea views. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with modern appliances and every utensil you could possibly imagine, so you need for nothing. The location of the apartment couldn’t be better and is ideally situated for visiting the centre of St Ives. It is situated a short walk out of the town, opposite a pay and display car park, which is very useful if you don’t wish to make use of the garage facility which is a short walk away. We can’t recommend Surfs Up highly enough and the prices are very reasonable for the standard of accommodation and location. Also, the owners Caroline & Ian are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make sure that you have a pleasant stay.

Very clean, comfortable and homely. You would feel happy staying here if you didn't want to go out due to heavy rain (which we had unfortunately). Has a fully, and I mean fully, equipped kitchen and so on. Have spent the last few years in St Ives over NYR but will definitely stay here again.

Brilliantly located property. Excellently equipped and presented. The garage is a real bonus. Fantastic views which will be even better when the Tate extension is finally finished! Just one small improvement could be made - fitted sheets on the beds, to avoid having to remake the children's beds every morning.

St Ives and West Cornwall
St Ives is a lovely historic Cornish fishing village with a maze of cobbled streets jumbled with restaurants, galleries, pubs and clubs. Its many attractions are activities such as swimming, wind surfing, body boarding, walking, tennis, horse riding, scuba diving and deep sea fishing. Of course St Ives has a history in the pilchard trade and during the season there is an opportunity to join 'Shanty Baba', to hear some of the local tales. Food is on offer in restaurants, cafes and pubs offering fresh locally caught fish.
The main attraction in St Ives is of course the Tate gallery and that's open all year round and approximately two minutes away from our apartment. Entertainment in the summer can be found at the Minack open air theatre not too far away. Other attractions nearby are Flambards near Helston and the gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan, close to the Helford river.
