THE INSECTS AND OTHER WILDLIFE OF LOGGAN'S MOOR

the Gwithian road (B3301) from the east end of Hayle.
After about ½ mile you will come to a large lay-by on
the right. The entrance is off this lay-by.

This marshy reserve is very rich in insects, some of them
rare. A chance to learn a bit about the moths,
butterflies, dragonflies, beetles etc. and see flowers
like the unusual white form of ragged robin.
Bring a packed lunch. Small, clear containers to examine
specimens would be useful. Wellington boots will enable
us to take some short cuts through the stream. More

THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF CHÛN

Meet at Trehyllys Farm. Take the B3312 from Penzance to
Madron. Carry straight on for about 2½ miles then take
left turn towards Great Bosullow. Park at end of tarmac
road before left-hand turn into Great Bosullow itself.

A guided tour of this fascinating site, part of which is
in the process of becoming a Trust reserve, by one of our
best known archaeologists. Points of interest include
Chûn Castle , Chûn Quoit and the adjacent neolithic and
mediaeval strip fields.

Meet at reserve entrance at 10.30am. The reserve is
located 3 miles east of Bodmin on the A38. From the A38,
travelling east, take the turning left towards Cardinham
(next to White Lodge). Cross the bridge over the River
Fowey, and access is via a track on the right past the
sawmill.

The China Clay Heritage Centre will give us a guided
