WILD CORNWALL - The Wildlife Trusts
PARC
Practical Action on
Reserves in Cornwall
Over 40 nature reserves are owned, leased or managed by the Trust and this number is constantly increasing. The reserves are safe havens for a wide variety of habitats and rare species. Many of the reserves require active management to maintain and enhance their nature conservation importance. We need your help to carry out this important work.

For all of the tasks listed, full details of why, what and how are given by the task leader on the day, plus full tuition on the use of tools and a tour of the site. No experience is needed, just a bit of enthusiasm. Please don't hesitate to contact me at the Trust if you would like further details or to be put on our mailing list for the PARC leaflet.

CABILLA AND REDRICE WOODS PROJECTS

Cabilla and Redrice Woods comprises 77 hectares (190 acres) of mixed woodland alongside the River Fowey. The woodlands are very variable with areas of recent hazel coppice, neglected oak coppice, mixed broadleaves and conifers. This winter, we are commencing our woodland restoration project which has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. There are many interesting tasks in which you can get involved. Refer to the list below for details or contact our ranger for the woods, Steve Chudleigh, on (0467) 792427 or (01208) 873475.
