BADGERS AND BOVINE TB

The Trust has prepared a position statement in response the Krebs Report on badgers and bovine TB, raising several points of concern. Although welcoming the Krebs Report as the most thorough investigation into the problem to date, the Trust has serious reservations regarding the scientific validity of the proposed experimental cull.

The Trust opposes the cull and will not offer co-operation with it. The Trust continues to call for full compensation for affected farmers and greater expenditure on research into vaccine development and solutions involving alterations to husbandry techniques.
