Close to the sandy beaches of St Austell Bay, only a short walk from the lovely, still working, 18C port of Charlestown, and set in a very central position to the historic market town of St Austell and surrounding environs, Mac's House is a charming & spacious 2-bedroomed self catering bungalow.
There are two low steps up to the bungalow and once inside, there are no other changes in level which may make for a wheelchair friendly environment. Please note, however, that the bathroom has not been adapted for handicap use.
The self catering accommodation offers a lounge, separate dining room, a main double bedroom, a twin-bedded room, a brand new fitted kitchen and a new, modern bathroom. It is centrally heated throughout.
Please note that this is a "no smoking" property. You may, of course, smoke outside.
Also, please note, that we don't take pets.
Wi-Fi computer access is also provided, just in case you need to consult your emails whilst away.

The large, south facing, garden to the rear of the property is very sheltered and offers a really large paved patio area (50m³) as well as a smaller patio area with a barbecue.
There is also a large lawn so there's plenty of scope for you to relax in the garden if you want a "stay at home" day in between your touring or beach days.
The kitchen has been recently re-fitted and is very light with windows on three sides. It provides a double oven with grill and extractor hood, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. There is an ample supply of cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils etc for your needs.

The living room provides very comfortable seating for 4 people and has a flatscreen HDTV with integrated digibox for receiving all the Freeview channels, as well as a DVD player. There is also a gas fire in addition to the central heating radiators, although you won't need to use both !!
The main bedroom is furnished with a brand new, comfy King sized divan (5ft) with memory foam mattress, wardrobe, bedside tables and dressing table/chest of drawers. The twin bedded room also has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. Both bedrooms have central heating radiators.
Duvets & pillows as well as bedlinen & towels (not Beach towels) are all provided.
The recently modernised bathroom features a full-size bath with a powerful shower, washbasin & WC. There is also a humidity controlled extractor fan and a dual-voltage shaver point.
Please note that for bookings in the months from October through until March we take an additional £50,-- p/w to pay for the central heating.

The nearest golf courses are St Austell Bay Golf Course, Porthpean & Carlyon Bay all of which are 2mins away.
The nearest shop/supermarket is a short walk away and there are plenty of shops in the town which is just 15mins walk away.
The nearest pubs/restaurants are a mere 1 minute walk away, so no need to take the car and risk a breathalyser.
The nearest bus stop is at ASDA and from the central bus station which is located by the railway station, you can take buses to local places of interest like the Eden Project as well as villages & towns such as Mevagissey, Truro, Penzance etc. Most of the buses pass through Mount Charles which is just 1 minutes walk away.
St Austell is also reachable with the National Express coach network.
The nearest airport is at Newquay which is about 20mins drive away, and with BA, Ryanair, Air SouthWest, FlyBe, BMI Baby and Skybus there are now a great range of flights to and from:
Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cork, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Leeds/Bradford, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle, as well as Zurich.
