The open plan living area includes a lounge (shown above), dining area and kitchen/breakfast bar (also above). There is also an entry hall on the ground floor that is the perfect place to leave your beach gear, sandy shoes and bags.
Upstairs there are two good sized double bedrooms and a bathroom (all shown) with a separate bath and rainfall shower.
The vintage three piece suite in the lounge is complemented by the real open fire that can be used by guests as well as an upright piano for cornish shanty singing if the mood takes you!
The new induction hob and Bosch oven, grill and combination microwave make preparing food very easy if you are not tempted to eat in any of the three pubs, the chinese restaurant or the cafes in the village.
Outside at the front of the cottage there is a south facing garden while the space at the rear is used for parking.

Things to do nearby
There are plenty of public footpaths and bridleways on the doorstep to suit all levels of fitness and pace. Take the cliff path from Portreath to Porthtowan and stop for lunch at the blue bar (www.blue-bar.co.uk). If you feel more energetic then you can hire a bike and cycle the historic Mineral Tramway that takes you coast to coast in just 12 miles.
Surfers and swimmers will enjoy the beach at Portreath which is manned by lifeguards throughout the peak season. You can hire wetsuits, surfboards and belly boards in the village.
Bird watchers and wild life fans will enjoy the abundance of local wild life including buzzards, barn owls and even peregrine falcons which can be found along the cliffs and in the local woods.
This is a great location from which to explore Cornwall. We are within easy reach of St Ives and the famous Eden Project and there are many other attractions including Poldark Mine, The Seal Sanctuary, Goonhilly Earth Satellite Station and Carn Brea Castle.
