Our Victorian home is situated in the historic Cornish town of Penzance, a suberb base for exploring the beautiful coastline and cosy fishing villages of West Cornwall.
We welcome children of any age and can provide a stylish, yet comfortable home with child-friendly touches (we are parents with a young family ourselves!). We are also dog-friendly.
The house is situated on a private road and has fantastic sea views over Mounts Bay towards St.Michaels Mount.
The house has wooden floorboards, fireplaces and many period features. There is parking for two cars outside the house.
Accomodation
Ground Floor
- Large double reception living room with TV, DVD, Piano and Nintendo Wii. Big dining table that can seat up to 10. Wooden Floors and period features, including beautiful fireplaces in both rooms.
- Large kitchen with dining table, range style cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and Gaggia coffee maker. Historic, decorative Cornish Range.
- Outside utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer (reached through courtyard).
- We can provide a highchair, childrens plastic plates and cups, cool-bag and flask (perfect for cups of tea at the beach).
- Access to small courtyard with seating. Space for hanging wetsuits and outside tap for washing suits after the beach. Washing line for outside drying. You will also find a selection of beach toys, windbreak and children's fishing nets in the cupboard under the stairs.
Upstairs
- Master Bedroom with en-suite (shower) bathroom.
- Large family bathroom with over-bath shower.
- Two further sunny double bedrooms.
Top Floor
- Large attic twin bedroom - this is our children's room and is a fantastic bedroom/playroom. Contains selection of toys including table football and books for all ages.
- Please be aware that there are steep stairs leading up to this room, making it unsuitable for very young children.
Dog Policy
- We welcome one dog to come and stay in the house. We can provide a plastic dog basket which is Labrador sized - simply bring your own blankets, toys and food bowls. We'll leave details about dog accessible beaches and good local walks.
- We may be able to accomodate more than one dog with prior arrangement - drop us a line and we can discuss your requirements.
