| Penzance & District |
| Penzance is an ideal centre from which to explore
the west of Cornwall. You are never more than 10 miles from the
other popular towns, top beaches and the "hidden" corners of the
peninsula. Penzance is easily accessible by road, rail and coach
with Kenegie just a short taxi ride from the train and coach stations.
|
| Kenegie Manor is 1.5 miles from the shops, galleries,
beach and eating places of Penzance town. Just a few hundred yards
down the hill is Gulval, the nearest village to the Manor, which
has a general store with post office and off-licence. The local
pub, opposite the church, serves a good range of economical dishes
if you want a break from the kitchen. Sunday lunch is recommended.
|
| There are excellent beaches at Marazion (near
St.Michael's Mount) and Hayle. Also nearby is the world famous art
centre of St.Ives where you can enjoy the excellent atmosphere of
its picturesque cobbled streets and golden beaches. |
