Sun Valley Holiday Park is everything that you would expect to find in an AA 5 pennant caravan park. Within our landscaped grounds our facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, modern and well equipped caravans, clubhouse and restaurant, outdoor hard tennis courts, games room with table tennis, indoor soft play area, outdoor play area, games area and parks, shower block, laundry, on-site shop and WiFi.

You will find plenty of fun activities around Sun Valley Resort to keep the whole family entertained. We are also the perfect base from which to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. Close to the Cornish coastline, you are never far from a beautiful beach or a scenic coastal path. Pentewan Beach is within walking distance and we are just a short drive from the pretty 14th century fishing village of Mevagissey, the quaint harbour at Charlestown, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and much more.

All our holiday caravans are fully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your holiday. Our new Swift Soleil has a modern open-plan layout and is centrally heated with electric plinth heaters and double glazed.  The kitchen is well equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge.  There are carpets to the lounge and bedroom, with durable modern design flooring throughout the kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms are well equipped and have plenty of storage.

Our other models have all the benefits you would expect from a holiday home, and can sleep from 4 – 8 persons.  Lounge/diner with gas fire and TV plus some models have a pull-out double sofa bed.

All our beds are made up for your arrival. 

Our heated indoor swimming pool is ideal for the whole family as there is a shallow pool for the little ones too. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool so that you can relax and enjoy reading a book or magazine while keeping an eye on the kids splashing about.

If you are looking for reasonably priced good food and a wide range of drinks in a friendly environment then there is no need to leave Sun Valley Resort to find it.  At the Cedars Clubhouse & Restaurant we offer a menu to suit all tastes.  We also provide a takeaway service so you can choose your food and take it back to your holiday accommodation.  Don’t forget to check out our family entertainment programme.

Children will enjoy all that the adventure playground has to offer and when they tire of that they can visit our ‘bunny compound’ for a cuddle with our friendly rabbits. For the more competitive or sporty amongst you we have a hard tennis court. Smaller children will enjoy the soft play area and the whole family can get together for a table tennis tournament in the games room.

Charlestown
A picturesque little port with a tiny harbour and pleasant beaches. A big favourite with the television and film companies, this is one of the locations for the popular new 'Poldark' series. Also if you enjoy rediscovering the past,the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre is well worth a visit.

Fowey
An ancient fishing port, with winding narrow streets. Visit the castle which commands a magnificent view of the river mouth. Take the passenger ferry across the river to historic Polarun,or the car ferry which takes you well on your way to Polperro or Looe.

Mevagissey
Stroll through the narrow streets and completely unspoilt scenic harbour of this fishing port and you'll think you're stepping back in time. It has a variety of restaurants and the local fishermen know all the choice spots for a good catch.

Truro
At the heart of Cornwall sits the beautiful city of Truro, with it's busy shopping centre and glorious three-spire Cathedral.

Local Beaches
Pentewan Beach is less than a mile away and within walking distance of Sun Valley Resort. Porthpean is a sandy beach near Charlestown which is popular with families - you can bring dogs here out of season. Gorran Haven beach is an east-facing sand and shingle beach beside the very pretty village and harbour of Gorran Haven near Mevagissey. Porthluney Cove at Caerhays is a privately owned, secluded family beach with a large expanse of golden sand that's popular with local people. Par Sands is backed by dunes, is completely south facing and is good for paddling and swimming (dogs are welcome on this beach all year round). And then there are the sandy beaches of Carlyon Bay...

At Sun Valley Resort we welcome your dog as a part of your family. We have a selection of dog-friendly caravans. All we ask is that you keep your four-legged friend under control and don’t let our dogs welcome policy spoil the pleasure of other holidaymakers. We have a designated dog walking area plus there are plenty of good dog walks in the area including the Pentewan cycle trail that runs past us or the south west coast path and the clay trails around St Austell.
