Fresh quality produce is always used to ensure you have a 1st class breakfast at Pisky Cottage and we do believe in buyind local produce but we have made a conscious decision to get off the bandwagon and not fall into the trap of buying local produce just because its stated to be award winning from an award winning farm that has an award winning field that produced an award winning pig that produced an award winning pork to then be made into an award winning sausage for the 3rd year running, that then seems to have an award winning price ...This price is then passed on to you (we don't believe this is right and are jumping off the waggon)

What To Expect From Pisky Cottage/The Owners And The Cats
Pisky Cottage offers TRADITIONAL...CORNISH And QUAINT...If this is what you are looking for then this is what you get with it... Expect low beams, Cosy rooms and small en-suites...You will have to duck your head to get up and down stairs....There is a restiction of approx 6ft.1" (except in Pisky's Nook where there is no restictions) even though we have had guests of approx 6ft.3" stay in Little Spriggans...These are part of the daily traditional Cornish cottage life of this and many Cornish Cottages.
If you are still reading this and like the sound of what Pisky Cottage offers then you will love it...But if you are questioning any of the points stated about staying in a cottage and prefer more space for your 15 large cases and 2 sets of golf clubs, space for your surf board (actually we can do that) room for your bike (can do that too) a swimming pool and room for a pony (discount for anyone who knows which TV Program that came from) with large windows with vistas of galloping wilderbeast passing by then we might not be for you.
The owners Howie and Andy who are down to earth and friendly with many joint years experience of working in the hospitality industry from luxury four star hotels to the very relaxed. Pisky Cottage bed and breakfast is the outcome of their joint experience where a homely yet polished service is offered to guests leaving you relaxed but also feeling a little pampered hopefully too...And like a laugh as you might have gathered.
Saying all this their hospitality is not intrusive and your privicy is respected at all times...
You will also get to meet the resident cats Kismet and Mable who are always available for that extra bit of fuss.

TheTerrace Garden And The Quirky Staircase
The use of the terrace garden is a lovely added bonus for guests staying at Pisky Cottage as outdoor space is not always offered at every accommodation establishment you may be considering...With it's intentionally created rustic higgledy-piggledy charm this is by no means a reacreation of the hangging gardens of babylon and we wouldn't want it to be either as this compliments the overall feel of the ambience here at Pisky Cottage we feel... Another great feature is the low and quirky staircase where you will have to duck a little...Always a focal point and topic of conversation...Leading you upstairs to the Snug where you can sit and find all you need to relax from books and local information to games and DVD's...

For guests safety up to date smoke detectors are in all rooms of the house and fire protection equipment which is checked and serviced regularly.
Also all electrical equipment in rooms is checked for electrical safety yearly.

Is so important and is done only by the owners Howie and Andy who take this side of their work very seriously. Also all bedding and laundry is done on the premises by Andy too so again cleanliness is paramount and standards are high. They do not use top sheets because they always change duvets for every new guests and not just the sheet. This is their promise to you.
