Set within extensive grounds in the small town of Lostwithiel, near St. Austell and Bodmin, in Cornwall, the hotel inhabits converted old Cornish Barns, retaining the original charm of the mellowed stone and beamed ceilings.

Looking out over the golf course, lakes and wooded hills of the River Fowey Valley, our Black Prince restaurant specialises in fusion style food produced using the finest locally sourced ingredients and is cooked with flair & imagination.

Named after the Black Prince, the first Duke of Cornwall, who once ruled over the area from Restormel Castle, sitting on the hill above the Lostwithiel Hotel and Country Club grounds.

Swimming Pool:
We have an attractive indoor heated swimming pool suitable for all ages. Patio doors join the pool to a small sunbathing veranda. The pool is 25 foot in length with a maximum depth of 1.8 metres and Roman steps at the shallow end.

The Gym:
Located within the main building, our well equipped gym offers guests all they need for their normal fitness requirements.

Tennis Courts:
We have two outdoor hard courts set within the natural beauty of the Hotel's grounds.

18 Hole Golf Course:
The course is just under 6,000 yards and is a par 72 course, suitable for both the accomplished player and beginner. The challenging front nine rewards you with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, while the picturesque back nine runs through leaf parkland flanked by the silver waters of the River Fowey. Complimenting the course are practice facilities that include; floodlit driving range, undercover and grass bays, putting greens and practice bunker.

Indoor Golf Simulator:
For all those avid golf players unable to enjoy the green through bad weather conditions we have an indoor golf simulator. Options to play one of 25 famous courses without risking the weather.

Fishing Lakes:
We have two lakes set in the middle of the golf course. These are well stocked with Common, Mirror, and Crucian Carp; Tench, Roach small to large, and good sized eels.

Horse Riding:
There are two riding schools nearby offering everything from beginner tuition to riding on the moors around Bodmin.
