Welcome to The Port Gaverne Hotel
It's perfectly quiet. All you can hear is a gentle splash down by the rock pools, with laughter somewhere nearby. You're sitting in the shade, enjoying a cool drink and looking out to sea. You sigh, smile, and think to yourself, "I wish I could stay here forever."

Stay at The Port Gaverne Hotel
In the Nineteenth Century, when Port Gaverne was a bustling trading port, the building that is now the Port Gaverne Hotel was a large inn, popular with villagers and ship workers alike. Our warm, cosy inn remains, and this, together with our superb restaurant, is the hub of the village. Our rooms have been transformed into high quality en-suite hotel rooms without losing their traditional and quirky character, meaning that guests can relax in complete comfort.
Our well-stocked bar, with its slate floors, low wooden beams, and roaring log fire, serves a wide range of good real ale and freshly prepared food. Our restaurant specialises in freshly caught seafood and locally sourced ingredients - here you will be served excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. And, when you stay with us, you'll enjoy a delicious breakfast cooked completely to order.
What truly makes the Port Gaverne Hotel special is the quality of service that our guests enjoy. All of our staff will go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful visit, providing a friendly, warm, and flexible service.

Our Rooms
Each of our sixteen en-suite bedrooms are comfortably furnished, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean. No two bedrooms are the same - you'll find antique furniture, nooks and crannies, a wonderfully comfortable bed, and, of course, delicious Cornish biscuits.
All bedrooms are well-equipped, with a colour tv, radio, direct-dial telephone and coffee and tea-making facilities. You can also relax in our cosy sitting room, or sit outside on our large terrace or in our sunny beer garden.

Eat at The Port Gaverne Hotel
Whether you choose a traditional Ploughman's from our bar menu, served with Cornish Yarg and chutney, the local Cornish crab salad, or the Thermidor Lobster from our restaurant menu, we guarantee that you'll find all of our food fresh, filling, and, without fail, delicious.
Our Head Chef, Ian Brodey, has been at the Port Gaverne Hotel for over thirty years. Ian believes that good, home-cooked food, using the freshest ingredients sourced locally, simply cannot be beaten. Highlights include our freshly baked bread, fish landed almost on the doorstep, home made Petit Fours and daily changing specials.

Our Location
We all want the best of both worlds. A quiet and peaceful spot where we can really get away from it all. Time and space to walk on the beach without disturbance, wander between rock pools, relax in a sunny garden, and eat delicious food.
At the same time, we like to be close to bustling villages and towns, stunning country houses, great sweeps of coastline and the very best that North Cornwall has to offer. Port Gaverne is the perfect location if you want all this and more.
This secluded cove is just five minutes walk from Port Isaac, a fourteenth century fishing village with winding lanes, whitewashed cottages and a wide range of restaurants. There are numerous walks along the coastline, which is famed for its beauty, and a huge sandy beach at Polzeath only five miles away.
Just some of the attractions nearby include Lanhydrock House, Tintagel, St. Enodoc golf course, popular Padstow, and, of course, Bodmin Moor.
