The Mill House, originally known as Treknow Mill, dates back to 1760 and was a working mill until the late 1930s.
Converted into a guesthouse and later into an inn, The Mill House has been gradually upgraded and is now a hotel and restaurant, also offering wedding and function facilities.
The hotel and restaurant are open all year (apart from Christmas Day) so whatever the season you can enjoy a relaxing stay at The Mill House.
The Mill itself is a charming stone building with a bar, dining room and residents lounge all of which benefit from log fires.
- Eight elegant bedrooms all with en suite facilities, telephone and T.V. offering beautiful views across the valley or gardens (including one family room which sleeps up to 6 people).
- The dining room, positioned over the delightful millstream is light and airy during the day yet intimate and romantic at night.
- The traditional beamed bar, which has fine Delabole flagstones and informal furnishings is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a drink and listen to the occasional live music.
- In fine weather lunches, evening drinks and barbeques can be enjoyed outside on the attractive split-level terraces.
The Mill House Inn offers great food and drink. Menus are changed regularly and concentrate on the use of the best fresh fish, meat, produce and other ingredients all sourced locally, in and around North Cornwall.
Sharps local ales and an unusual and creative wine list compliment the lunch and dinner menus. The Mill House is proud to be mentioned in several guides and publications, Alastair Sawdays Special Places Pubs and Inns, The Good Pub Guide and we are a member of Cornish Accredited Restaurants.
