Come and relax at Old Solomon's Farm, in the beautiful Tamar Valley on the Devon and Cornwall border : one of the most tranquil places in England.
Stay in the 15th Century farmhouse for bed and breakfast, or rent self-catering accommodation for two in the Apple Loft.
Bed and Breakfast
Come and relax in our special farm Bed and Breakfast! We can accommodate up to six people as we have three large double rooms. But whether you are on your own, a couple or in a group of family and friends you will be our sole guests.
Breakfast is cooked using locally grown and cured bacon, organic sausages and our own farm eggs. Start with fruit, cereal, organic yoghurt and fresh fruit juice. Ring the changes with Cornish smoked kippers and scrambled eggs.
The house is full of books and flowers, the log fire is lit in the dining room on chilly mornings. If you like good conversation, want information about the Tamar Valley, its mining and local history then this is the place for you.
Alternatively you can enjoy Bed and Breakfast in the Apple Loft which sleeps two people in an open plan accommodation with ensuite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen area for cooking evening meals, and a living dining space with television and a DVD player.
Prices: Bed and Breakfast in the farmhouse £30.00 per person per night, in the Apple Loft £35.00 per person.
The Apple Loft
The Apple Loft provides light and spacious accommodation for two people (and a baby or toddler). Step down into the hallway with storage space for coats and muddy boots and walk through to the large airy living space with well equipped kitchen area.

Out and About
The Tamar Valley is an area of outstanding natural beauty and the river is the natural boundary between Devon and Cornwall. Latchley is two miles from Gunnislake, half way between Tavistock and Callington and between Launceston and Saltash. There is so much to see and do in the immediate area and further afield.
Explore the valley from the river, by canoe, sailing boat, motor boat, ferry or cruise ship from Plymouth
There are many interesting places to visit and things to do in this area, from steam and rail to country houses, golf and horse riding to a Donkey Park with an indoor play barn for wet weather.
We are an ideal base to explore further afield in Devon and Cornwall. The Eden Project, the moors of Bodmin and Dartmoor, the north and south coasts are all within reasonable driving distance.
