Eddy Cottage is located one mile outside Hayle in the small hamlet of Wheal Alfred.
A traditional two bed roomed detached Cornish cottage, with the benefit of a modernised interior and gas central heating. All you need to bring is your clothes, personal requisites, and of course your beach towels.

Eddy Cottage has all that is required for a self-catering holiday throughout the year. The Kitchen contains electric hob, double oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, kettle, lets not forget the toaster, and the washing up can be done in the dishwasher.
The Bathroom leans towards luxurious with large separate shower and full-length double-ended bath.
The lounge diner has the traditional low beams (Those over 6'2” beware) with a heated tiled floor that tastefully blends Mediterranean and traditional cottage together to create a pleasing ambience.
Two leather settees provide comfort while watching Digital TV, DVD, or listening to your favourite CD. The modern style farmhouse table is ideal for that romantic dinner, as all the lights in this room can be dimmed to create the required mood. This can be further enhanced by lighting the real open fire, after all the first scuttle of fuel is free.
The open tread stairs lead up to the bedrooms. One contains a double pine bed, the other twin beds. For those with very young children, a travel cot is available for the duration of your stay.
There is ample parking opposite, which is free.

Out & About
Eddy Cottage is perfectly situated to explore the wonderful beaches, seaside resorts and the most southern parts of Cornwall. Hayle is a small Cornish town, but known for its “Three miles of golden sand” which are minutes away via car.
- Godrevy Point is one of our favourite spots to watch the sun setting over the sea. Local surfers use Godrevy for the obvious reasons.
- Paradise Park, located in Hayle, is known for its collection of exotic birds and also has the Jungle Barn play centre for the kids.
- Flambards Theme Park, in nearby Helston, is ideal for the err, Kids.
- St Ives, well known as a picturesque fishing port and for the Tate Gallery is approximately 8 miles by road or a short train ride along the coast from Lelant Saltings park and ride.
- St Michael’s Mount is known as a majestic Cornish landmark. Although off Marazion, it can be seen from the road as you approach Penzance.
- Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is for the open-air thespian lovers.
- Lands End, the most westerly point of England, with stunning scenery and fabled views is easily reached. Lizard Point is a must if you want to tell friends you have been to the most southerly point of England.
- Isles of Scilly can be visited by boat, helicopter from Penzance Heliport or the Sky Bus that flies from Lands End Airfield.
- The Eden Project near St Austell is a forty-minute drive by car to the north.
