This beautiful traditional clapboard chalet is situated on the renowned Riviere Towans, nestled amongst miles of undulating sand dunes and a stone’s throw away from Hayle beach - 3 miles of spectacular golden sands, excellent for surfing, swimming and extremely family friendly. There are many lifeguarded sections and long stretches of the beach are dog friendly all year round. The beach is so long it never gets anywhere near crowded.

Hayle beach is opposite St. Ives and all of its attractions. It is just 6 miles by road. Highly recommended is Britain’s most popular train journey last year from St Erth to St. Ives. A short hop with spectacular scenery and no car parking hassles.

The chalet has 2 bedrooms, 1 double and a bunkroom, a kitchen/living room with TV, video and Freeview. There is a conservatory, which is set up as a dining room for 6. The living room has a very comfy double sofa bed for extra bodies.

The kitchen has a 4 ring electric hob, a fridge, a microwave and a mini oven. There is ample free parking directly outside the chalet. Electricity is on a meter. You will need a supply of £1 coins.

'Sandraline' is extremely dog friendly. Owned by a dog lover, who loves spending time there with family, friends and as many dogs as we can fit in (and even the occasional cat!). They just love it. Hagrid, a dog, was so happy he didn't stop chasing his tail for a week. He loves it here so much he never wants to go home. There is no charge for doggies. The owner, an experienced dog-walker and sitter, offers a dog-sitting service if you wish to go out without your doggie - you can leave him in safe hands and go out and relax. ‘Sandraline’ is available from April 1st or Easter, whichever is the earliest, through to October 31st. It is also available for a few weeks around Christmas and New Year. Changeover day is Saturday and access is from 4 p.m. until 10 a.m. on day of departure. This is negotiable.

Hayle is best known for its three miles of beaches of golden sand, which extends from Hayle to Godrevy Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located on a island just off the beach and inspired Virginia Woolf to write her novel 'To The Lighthouse'.

Hayle Beach - A fantastic beach for the family is patrolled by life guards during the summer and is excellent for swimming, sunbathing, surfing and wind surfing. There are lots of family attractions on your doorstep.

The Towans, the Cornish word for dunes is comprised of Mexico Towans, Upton Towans, and Gwithian Towans. The site used to contain an explosive factory, but has now been declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a nature reserve. The sand dunes and are home to the pyramidal orchid, glow worms, the silver-studded blue butterfly, and the skylark among others. They are on the South West Coastal Path and there is ample walking to enrapture the most experienced walkers.

Hayle's estuary, with its muddy tidal flats, is a magnet to many exotic birds and is heavily frequented by bird watchers. The temperate climate of the area means that the flats do not freeze. It makes an ideal resting and feeding place for migratory birds and a perfect spot for bird watching.

The Towans are just 6 miles by road to St. Ives and all of its attractions and situated in glorious St. Ives Bay with an excellent chance of spotting dolphins, seals and basking sharks. Highly recommended is the short hop from St. Erth to St. Ives by train - Britain's most popular train journey last year. Take in the most spectacular views of St. Ives Bay and no parking hassles in St. Ives. Runs every 15 minutes.

The area has many excellent family and dog friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. Children and dogs are made very welcome in many places.

Hayle is only six miles from Penzance - home of the 'Pirates' of Gilbert and Sullivan - tourist and vacation centre of the Lands End peninsula - land of cliffs, moors, secluded beaches and spectacular scenery and the beautiful Saint Micheal's Mount.
