The quiet country lane from Warbstow to
Trengune leads on to our private tree lined drive and the cottages,
The Roundhouse, Beech, Ash, Pond Meadow and Little Leighs, all
set within the three acre gardens of the 16th century farmhouse,
which offers distant views of Dartmoor to the south, with the
north Cornish coast at Crackington Haven being five miles away.
Each cottage has its own small garden which leads onto two barbeque
areas and a small field with our resident pygmy goats to the
front of the cottages, a large children’s playing field with
swings to the side and a small copse to the rear of the cottages,
where dog owners can exercise their pets. |
|
| The words that appear most often in
our visitor books are peace, quiet, relaxed, welcoming, cosy, clean,
comfortable and home from home, which hopefully says it all. The cottages
are the perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries, but when
you are ready to face the outside world again the A39 ‘Atlantic Highway’
is only a few minutes drive from the cottages opening up the whole
of North Cornwall, with Crackington Haven, Bude, Boscastle, Tintagel
and Bodmin Moor all being within a short drive, making the cottages
an excellent touring base. Whether it be leisurely exploring the coast
and villages of north Cornwall; hiking, surfing, fishing, playing
golf, or simply relaxing in front of a roaring fire, Trenannick Cottages
offers you all these possibilities. |
| Having been converted from 18th Century farm buildings,
some of the cottages have low beams, an occasional peril for those
over 6’. Your own transport is essential, with the nearest shop and
pub being around three miles away. Parking is to the front of the
cottages. Being in the countryside the cottages are served by their
own private water supply. |
| Trenannick Cottages offer not only the ideal summer
holiday retreat for families and couples alike, but also a cosy winter
haven, with weekend breaks available. |

| Surrounding Area |
| One of the first things that many of our new guests
say when they arrive is how quiet and remote the cottages feel, which
is probably due to the last few miles drive along quiet country lanes,
surrounded by open countryside, with on a clear day views of Lundy
and a few farms which can be seen in the distance. The cottages are
located at the end of a tree lined drive with nothing to see but distant
views towards Dartmoor, the fields leading to Warbstow Bury Iron Age
hill fort and the cottage gardens, so they are right in that respect,
it is quiet. The cottages may feel remote initially, but our guests
soon get to know that we are less than two miles from the A39 Atlantic
Highway, which opens up the north Cornish and Devon coasts. |
| Crackington Haven is our nearest beach, five miles
and about ten minutes away by car. This is our and many of our guest’s
favourite place, whether it be a days sunbathing, surfing, rock pooling
or walking, Crackington Haven is laid back and relaxed. |
