Our little traditional cottage has some of the best views from a quiet but central position. It is comfortable and well furnished and has all you will need for a lovely holiday.

St. Ives
The town of St Ives has been a popular Cornish holiday resort for many years. It is a fishing port and at its heart are many traditional fisherman's cottages along narrow streets and around the harbour.
Tregurtha is such a cottage with an enviable sea front position. There are several fine sandy beaches and excellent walks in all directions. The famous Tate Gallery in Cornwall is in St Ives and many people come to see the exhibitions. There are many good restaurants in the town which, in season, has a bustling night life. Tregurtha has the advantage of being in a quiet corner, close but not too close to the centre.

Cornwall.
Cornwall is the peninsula on the South Western tip of England. There is much to do and visit in this beautiful and unspoilt area. Lands End is the most western point of the British mainland and the start of many journeys to John O'Groats in Scotland. Nearby Penzance is a busy town with ship and helicopter links to the Isles of Scilly. The famous open air Minack Theatre on the cliffs of Porthcurno is only half an hour journey from St Ives. The blue seas, golden sands and towering granite cliffs are amongst the most magnificent views in Britain. The clarity of the air gives the St Ives' sky a special light which has drawn artists to this area for many years.

Tregurtha.

Tregurtha is in the middle of a terrace of six similar cottages. It was built in the 1870's as a fisherman's cottage and was modernized in 1954. The cottage sleeps four comfortably. A cot is available for infants.

The ground floor has an entrance hall, bathroom and pine panelled kitchen. The kitchen has an automatic washing machine, fridge freezer and microwave. Stairs lead to the first floor which has two living rooms, the front looking right across St Ives Bay to Godrevy lighthouse.
This room has been newly furnished and provides a perfect environment for relaxing and watching the ever changing seascape. The back room has a dining table and wicker chairs for relaxing and watching the television. The WC is on this floor. There is access from this floor to the back street.
Upstairs are two bedrooms one with a double bed and view over the sea, the other has two single beds which can be made into a bunk if required. Pretty floral curtains with co-ordinating bed covers pick up the cottage style and blend with the warm tones of the pine furniture.
There are small walled courtyards to the front and the rear of the property. Garden furniture is provided for relaxing in the sunshine.

The Beach.

Tregurtha is in a prime position next to a small beach with uninterrupted sea views. The beach is accessed via a small path and steps and can be seen from the living room and front bedroom. The sound of the sea can be heard in the house.

Parking. St Ives was not built for cars. Because of its quiet position cars can easily be parked outside Tregurtha whilst unloading. However they must then be moved to the public car parks as there is no on street parking. The nearest car park is 300 yards away on "The Island". A weekly ticket can be purchased but no reservation of space is guaranteed.
