| Location and Local Area |
| This bungalow is situated less than a five
minute walk from the beach with sea views. It is in a quiet
area, within easy reach of a little shop, local pub and bus
stop. The beach is one of the most magnificent 3 mile stretches
of golden sands in Cornwall and is a popular surfing and water
sports destination. Wet suits and equipment can be hired in
Hayle. The beach has several lifeguard stations which help to
keep this area safe. |
| The South West Coastal path runs beside
the sands and there are many paths through the sand dunes (towans)
for those who enjoy walking. The National Cycle Route goes through
Hayle and there is an excellent cycle trail a few miles away
starting in Portreath which takes you across to the other side
of Cornwall along the famous Mineral Trail. |
| The town of Hayle has an outdoor swimming
pool, a recreation park boasting a very popular skateboard bowl,
a children's play area and a cafe which makes the best breakfast
baps in town! |
| Birdwatchers will be delighted by the variety
of water fowl which can be spotted on the estuary and on Copperhouse
Pool. |
| The town also has excellent art galleries
and a good variety of shops. |
| Places to Visit |
St Ives - 6 miles, St Michael's
Mount - 7 miles, Penzance - 8 miles Helston
- 11 miles, Land's End - 18 miles,
Truro - 20 miles, The Lizard - 21 miles, Falmouth
- 22 miles, Isles of Scilly - 18 miles WSW of Land's
End. |
| There is plenty to do and see, or you can
simply relax and do nothing. Staying in Roslyn you can enjoy
a typical English seaside holiday, as it used to be, because
nothing much changes! Little children love buckets and spades,
sand, the rock pools and splashing in clear water. Older children
will love to try surfing or body boarding, as might Mum and
Dad! When the sun shines the beach is fabulous, the walks glorious,
the scenery magnificent!! We cannot guarantee the weather will
be perfect, but when it is, there is nowhere more wonderful,
more beautiful and more inspiring than this area of Cornwall.
