| The Copperhouse is a grade11 listed
Geargian Country House built around 1780 Constructed as an administrative
centre for the Copper Mines and it is said that the World Copper price
was set from here each morning. It also features a huge iron clad
Strongroom Now granted Mining World Heritage status, the parish of
Gwennap was once said to be “the richest couple of square miles in
the world.” With the decline of Mining in the mid to late 1800's The
Copperhouse reverted to a Country House, originally part of the Burncoose
Landed Estate with the Chelsea award winning Nurseries adjacent. It
now stands in its own secluded grounds surrounded by many species
of Camellias and Rhodedendrons. |
| This idyillic rural position is set
vaguely in the centre of a triangle between Truro – Falmouth – Redruth
with the beaches of the South Coast 5 miles, the North Coast 8 miles
and Lands End 20 miles, making it perhaps one of the best central
positions for visiting the whole of Cornwall. |

| The house will accommodate 14 people
+ cots with luxury facilities throughout. There are 6 double Bedrooms,
4 large Bathrooms and 2 additional Toilets/Handbasins. All bedding,
towels, toiletries are supplied . |
| Full central heating is provided by
an oil fired boiler, divided into 8 x zones, each individually controlled |
| There is a private Water supply and
pump room, all UV filtered CCTV cameras monitor all external entrances,
the drive around the house and the gardens and are lit at night. Besides
the security provided, it is especially useful for the safety of children
playing in the gardens. Any television in the house (channel 7) will
access them. |
| For people with wireless laptops there
is internet access connectivety. The password will be given on arrival. |
| Entrance Portico/Hallway/Landing |
| Lighting for the Hallway and the Portico
can be turned on from outside. A walk-in cupboard at the far end of
the hall, houses cleaning materials, Iron and ironing board. Stepladder,
hoovers and spare bulbs. On the half-landing a huge gilt mirror accentuates
the wide staircase, cheese and rubber plants, and a collection of
Copper items. The Portmanteau on the wide landing contains spare bedroom
keys and a hairdryer. |
| Study/Morning Room |
| This area not only acts as a Sitting
room with comfortable period settee and armchair but also contains
a large mahogany leather topped desk and swivel chair and the control
monitor for the CCTV. There is also a computor and printer for guests
use. A widescreen television, Video/DVD player, Sky digibox (with
full package) and another digital control box for the motorised satelite
dish on the the roof (Channel 8) stand next to the original slate
and tile fireplace (not suitable for an open fire) and next to this
is a door leading to the door of the Strongroom. (Locked, no access) |
| Snooker Hall /Sitting Room |
| An enormouse tripal aspect, half panelled
room with full size antique Billiard / Snooker table with the original
ivory balls. At the other end is another slate fireplace (not working)
a digital plasma television, opposite an 8ft long period Table /Desk.
In between there are numerous, some leather and some fabric covered
settees and easy chairs to seat at least 14 people in total comfort. |

| Accessed through double doors from
the Snooker/Sitting room this features a Grand Piano, antique Chesterfield
settees, Balloon buttoned back chairs, a sideboard and a Music centre.
There is also a large original Marble Fireplace which can be lit.
(Logs and some coal supplied) In a corner is a Widescreen Television
and a Video /DVD player |

| An almost 40ft long room with the original
worn fired clay floor tiles still in situ. This maybe luxury living
with a huge array of floor and wall cupboards and drawers with marble
worktops with ceramic tiles and lighting. Fully furnished with almost
everything in the way of Appliances, Equipment and Gadgets including
Belfast sinks at each end, Cooking Ranges with 8 x gas rings, 4x electric
hobs, griddle 3x electric ovens, 2 x grills and 3 x overhead extraction
units Appliances include:- 3 x Fridges, a seperate Freezer, Dishwasher,
2 x Microwaves, Washing Machine a seperate Dryer.and a Television |
| The Utility room houses the Boiler
and control units, Wine racks, a Dresser and a Chest Freezer (Locked) |

| A double pedestal period Table and
chairs, seat 14 persons, whilst other furniture includes a mahogany
Breakfast Bar counter and a Sideboard / Dresser. Outside there is
a raised slate paved patio area with cast iron tables and chairs and
a Barbecue This area can also be lit at night by chains of coloured
bulbs |

| Formerly the old Coach House, this
large open beamed room now contains a mahogany Pub Bar and Backfitting
and a Fridge. The shelves are stocked with a considerable quantity
of Spirits and Liquers,these may be consumed by Guests “gratis” but
strictly reasonable amounts please! Leaving most for others that follow.
