The most southerly port in the United Kingdom, Porthleven is a historic 18th Century fishing port set in the sweep of Mounts Bay. This charming village is renowned as a holiday destination offering peaceful surroundings, excellent food and beautiful sea views.

During the summer months, an abundance of wild flowers adorn the cliff tops, the warmth of the sun penetrates the soft sea breezes and the majesty of the coastline makes it one of the most beautiful places in the South West.

In winter, the seas can be spectacularly dramatic and the cliff tops stretching from Lands End to The Lizard attract walkers all year round. The clock tower of the Bickford-Smith Institute, built in 1883, stands sentinel over the unspoilt harbour.
