We had some lovely old farm buildings, grouped around the old farmyard. The Barn, Stable, Dairy and Granary from a by-gone age. They cried out to be lovingly converted, which we've gradually done, over the years. We hope we've restored them skilfully, retaining their individual character, and making each Cottage unique to the others. The interiors are tastefully co-ordinated. We are never short of visitors, so we feel we must be doing something right. Many people come again and again and are welcome friends. Please note that unfortunately we no longer accept pets.

Wild Flowers amass on the hedgerows, especially lovely are the daffodils in February and March, sometimes as early as January. They are followed by masses of lovely wild flowers, bluebells and campion, foxgloves and many more. April and May really is the time to see the countryside at its best. There is a wealth of wildlife on and around the farm. We have foxes, badgers, rabbits and pheasants here.

This spacious, beamed 2 bedroomed cottage sleeps 2 to 4. The large lounge/diner has 2 comfortable leather sofas. The main bedroom has a king size bed, with new Memory Foam mattress and there is a pretty twin bedded room. Newly refurbished bathroom, with Roll Top bath and shower- in. This cottage is all on one level and particularly useful for families with young children.

This is a charming beamed cottage, being detached with four bedrooms, sleeping 8 in comfort. Downstairs is Bedroom 1, with a double brass bed, with French windows and Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds. Large, comfortable dining room, with wonderful antique refectory table and furnishings, seating 8. Door leads off to a fabulous recently built kitchen. Complete with Range Cooker, American Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, all new appliances. Bathroom and separate Shower Room lead off, downstairs. Upstairs, a large open-plan sitting room, with a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Leading off- Bedroom 3, with a double four poster bed and Bedroom 4 with twin beds.

This cottage has 3 bedrooms, sleeping up to 5/6. Upstairs there is a large open Gallery bedroom with King Size Sleigh bed with Memory Foam mattress and a single bed chair for a small child. A beautiful en suite bathroom has been installed up here. There is ample room for a cot, also. Downstairs, a charming, beamed sitting room looking over the gardens. Steps lead down to kitchen/dining room. There are 2 further bedrooms downstairs, one a twin or change to a king size bed and the other a small single for a child. Pretty refurbished bathroom, with P shaped Bath and shower-in.

Attractive, spacious Cottage for Couples, all on one level. It has a lovely pine kitchen, leading, open plan, into a large, relaxing lounge/dining room, overlooking private garden, with barbecue. Door off the lounge leads into a lovely bedroom with a double four poster bed. Door off to newly refurbished en suite bathroom, complete with Jacuzzi bath and shower-in. Sleeps 2, with room for a cot.

Hendra Paul Cottage Holidays offer self catering holiday accommodation in good locations just outside Newquay. Being just a few miles from the A30 means that the whole of Cornwall can be easily accessed, Lands End in the west or Tintagel in the east are less than an hours drive away. The south coast port of Falmouth or the cathedral city of Truro are even closer. The many National Trust Properties, English Heritage sites and Castles, theme parks, museums and wildlife sanctuaries are all easily within reach. The Eden Project is just half an hour away.

Cornwall is well known for its mild climate, which makes it an ideal destination for the early, and late season visitors. The many stately homes and gardens look their best in the spring. The Autumnal colours along the leafy lanes and coastal path walks provide a beautiful background for a relaxing break away from the hassle of everyday life.

The village of St. Columb Minor is only 2 miles away from Hendra Paul, 3 or 4 minutes drive. There is a well stocked Village Shop, an excellent Fish and Chip shop that serves much more than just fish, a nice pub with good grub, a pretty Church and a convenient Co-op! A nearby Post Office, also.

Hendra Paul Holiday Cottages lie 1 mile inland from Porth Beach, which is on the outer limits of Newquay. We are situated up the pretty Porth Valley. We have a meandering stream and 54 acres of lovely farmland. We run a Livery Yard here and have about 20 horses and ponies.
