Located just on the edge of the historic Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. Stoats Hole Barn is a single storey stone built cattle shed over 200 years old, converted to provide a comfortable holiday home for up to 4 guests.

The Accommodation

The inside has been converted to retain the essential character of the old building, and yet provide a warm, cosy, comfortable all year round hideaway. The Lounge / Dinning room has an open beamed ceiling, oak flooring and log burning fire, the fully equipped kitchen opens off the lounge. The bathroom has whirlpool bath, and separate Aqua Jet shower. WC, Basin, and heated towel rail.
The main bedroom has a canopied 5' bed with Tv/Dvd. Second bedroom has two 3’ beds designed to zip together to form a seamless 6' bed, plus Tv/Dvd. Full oil fired central heating is provided for use in cooler months. and Water is provided by our own 40m Bore Hole, providing lovely fresh water. The barn is suitable for guests with limited mobility, as there are no steps, and the accommodation is all on one level.

With its 5ft bed and array of personal touches, it is the ideal getaway. Centrally located and with a stunning countryside backdrop and view up towards Minions which is the highest village in Cornwall, it is set in an AONB on the edge of Bodmin Moor which is steeped in local history.
Beamed living/dining room with oak floor, and open plan compact kitchen. Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Bathroom/ W.C. with shower over whirlpool bath. Under floor heating is throughout the cottage.
The Local Area
The barn is situated in peaceful wooded pasture land adjacent to a farm, between the villages of Rilla Mill and Upton Cross, both with excellent Pubs, Upton Cross has a Post Office and a well stocked village shop. The towns of Launceston, Liskeard and Callington are each about 7-8 miles away. The barn is ideally located for exploring Bodmin Moor, with its Bronze Age settlements and Tin Mining relics. The south coast can be reached in 30 mins, and the North coast in 40 mins. There are numerous National Trust properties, and many beautiful Gardens within easy reach. The 'must see' Eden Project is only 45 mins away.
