The Lee has its own private entrance, patio garden with valley views and parking adjoining the owners’ home Lamorna Lodge where Amanda, a writer and her husband James, architect and sculptor live. The Lamorna Valley is famous for its artistic and literary herritage which includes the artist, often referred to as the father of the Newlyn Artists, Lamorna Birch. The family still live in the house above the cove today.

From the Lee there are wonderful walks on the south west coast path to Mousehole, Porthcurno and the famous Minack Theatre or within the village itself to have a pint of Betty Stoggs at the Wink and on by the river to the Cove itself. The Merry Maidens stone circle are just a short walk up rocky road. The cove is well known for excellent diving and snorkelling, popular for fishing and boats and kayaks can be hired. The café serves great treats from Cornish ice cream to a hearty bowl of soup to a classic crab sandwich. The Cove Hotel, another short walk away, has a stunning heated pool, spa treatments and excellent food – enjoy a cocktail at the end of a day on the terrace with an unforgettable view. The Old Mill Shop across the river by the peacocks is charming. We are lucky enough to have a local farmers market too in our village hall as well as regular local events. Two beautiful gardens open to the public are Trewoofe Orchard and Chygurno. We also have a Millennium Triangle with its pond and boule pitch right by the Lee. The local bus service from the pub and end of the road makes it’s easy to visit local beaches and towns if you want a break from the car.
