BOSWHIDDEN - a self contained one bedroom apartment adjoining the owners' detached property situated in a beautiful, peaceful area of Carbis Bay which is just a mile from St. Ives and an ideal location for those who prefer a quieter holiday than the hustle and bustle of St. Ives to explore West Cornwall.

The coastal footpath to St. Ives with its picturesque harbour and cobbled streets takes about 25/30 minutes and we are only a short walk to the lovely Carbis Bay beach which usually enjoys calm conditions and is safe for bathing. There are a couple of restaurants in Carbis Bay, a shop which opens late with a Post Office counter, a hairdressers, chemist and dentist. We are a five minute walk to the nearest supermarket and bus stop, We are a 45 minute drive from The Eden Project, 30 minutes to Lands End and 40 minutes to Newquay Airport. Penzance with the link to the Isles of Scilly is 8 miles.
Accommodation
The accommodation is reached by steps leading to French doors into:-
  • A delightful kitchen, dining, living area.
  • The kitchen area is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.
  • The dining area seats four comfortably and there is a comfortable futon double bedsettee.
  • TV with freeview and DVD, radio.
  • WiFi available.
  • There is a patio with garden furniture for you to enjoy breakfast or coffee.
  • A garden which is shared by the family only and a drying area.
  • Lovely views with more than "a glimpse of the sea".
  • The spacious bedroom has a 5' bed, a single futon bed chair and room for a travel cot.
  • Bathroom has a bowl bath with shower over.
  • Price inclusive of bed linen - beds made up, towels (not beach towels), electricity and gas underfloor heating.
  • Parking on drive for one car.
Regret
  • No smoking or pets.
  • No single sex parties or parties all under the age of 21.
Additional Information
  • Arrrival time is 2.00 pm and departure 10.00 am.
  • Saturday to Saturday bookings only except for short breaks out of season.
  • Short breaks - 3 nights minimum.
Directions
A30. A7047 - drive through Carbis Bay until you pass the second chapel on the left - just before the roundabout - take the almost immediate right into Pannier Lane and second right into Wheal Whidden. "Lowena" is half way along the road on the seaward side. Sat Nav will direct you into Valley Road but it is better to go another 100 yards and turn into Pannier Lane.
