| THE MILL HOUSE
is a granite built former corn mill, over two hundred years old.
It has been our family home for many years and we now offer hospitality
to our guests in our stylish yet traditional accommodation: |
| The Granary
has two double en suite bedrooms, and a very large sitting room
with tv, dvd player, fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities. We
have a small library of books including books of local interest
and local maps which you are welcome to use whilst you are with
us, and a selection of dvds to enjoy in the evenings. |
| The Granary
is ideal for two couples or a family group, being totally self contained
but is equally suited to one couple, depending on availability.
We are able to offer either twin bedded or king size beds in each
of the rooms. Every bed has soft and cosy feather and down filled
duvets and pillows and cotton sheets and covers to contribute to
a good night's sleep. The Granary can sleep four or five people.
|
| We are able
to offer single occupancy of some rooms dependent on time of year
and availability but bookings must be for a minimum of three days. |
| Be amazed by
the granite stone walls and the cast iron pillars which support
the immense roof beams! The whole space is on the ground floor,
approached by three steps, and is ideal for anyone with limited
mobility and not wishing to use stairs. |
| There is a
sitting out area with table and chairs, a barbecue and parking is
adjacent to the building. |
| The Granary
is also available on a self catering basis - available to rent for
any period from one day upwards. Please contact us for any further
information - briefly, in addition to the facilities outlined above
provided for the bed and breakfast accommodation, there is an electric
hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and dryer. |
|
|
| We are only
a few minutes drive away from the EDEN PROJECT, making this an ideal
place to stay if you wish to visit this venue and only a few miles
from HELIGAN GARDENS. We also have direct access on to the many
trails which go to and from the Eden Project and from St. Austell
to the South Cornish coast, so you can either cycle or walk to this
famous Project and the surrounding areas. There is plenty of room
to store your bikes and the Granary offers the perfect place to
relax after a hard day of cycling - walking or even exploring by
car! |
| Your dog is
welcome - we have ample space for walking/exercising - and make
only a small daily charge. Please be aware that we have our own
cats and dogs on or around the premises should you have any specific
animal allergies. The dogs keep a very low profile but the cats
have proved to be very friendly to our many guests. |
| There are numerous
pubs and restaurants to which we can direct you for an evening meal
and there are dozens of other delightful places to visit whilst
you are with us. Both the NORTH and SOUTH COASTS are easily accessible
offering opportunities to walk and swim and surf. |
| To make
the best use of the local facilities and to explore the beautiful
county of Cornwall you really need your own car. |
| There are riding
stables close by and plenty of opportunities to enjoy a variety
of water sports on either the north or south coasts. |
| We charge £35
per person per night for the bed and breakfast accommodation which,
of course, includes a full Cornish cooked breakfast. Should you
prefer, we also offer delicious vegetarian or continental style
breakfast options. We try to offer as much organic and/or locally
produced food as possible, and, according to season (and time!)
have homemade jams and marmalades. |
| We look forward
to receiving your enquiries and hope that we can make your next
visit to Cornwall (whether it is your first or one of many) a truly
memorable one. |
