Ayr Holiday Park is the only Holiday Park in St. Ives itself,
less than 1/2 mile from the beaches, town centre and harbour.
All the attractions of this leading Cornish resort are within
walking distance and buses regularly pass from the town centre.
Nowadays self-catering is the chosen holiday for the vast majority
of holidaymakers in the UK because of the freedom it gives to
enjoy your holiday as you want it. With a comfortable, well designed
holiday home most people do little actual

'catering', preferring to sample the local restaurants or pubs
where a variety of excellent food is available. No set meal-times
and the choice of menu is your own - a real bonus with children.
You can come and go as you please and on your return, relax in
the privacy of your holiday home.
We have a well equipped launderette, and although there is no
shop on the Park the nearest local shops are 300 - 400 yards away.
There is a games room and childrens' playground, and direct access
to the coastal footpath through our own fields which can be used
for ball games, kite flying or just relaxing.

St. Ives is a first class resort with safe, sandy beaches, beautiful
scenery and a unique character which permeates the narrow, winding
streets. At the heart of the town is the harbour, which has been
a safe haven for fishermen and their boats for centuries. It is
still the focal point of town, around which everything else has
grown.
Late in the nineteenth century, St. Ives acquired a growing artists'
community attracted by the natural beauty and the exceptional
clarity of the light, and to this day, there is a thriving artists'
colony of international renown, with many studios and galleries
open to the public. Many works by St. Ives artists can be seen
in the St. Ives Tate Gallery which overlooks Porthmeor Beach and
is easily reached from the park.
|
 |
|
Today, the main attraction of St. Ives is the golden sandy beaches
which provide endless fun for children, and safe bathing for all
the family. There is, however, a great deal more for the discerning
holidaymaker.
Golf, Boating, Walks, Great Restaurants, Pubs, Bird Watching,
Art, Surfing, Shopping, Antiques, Family Attractions. So much
to fill every day.
