| The Downalong |
| Mariners is situated in the old
fishing quarters, which is the older and more attractive part
of St Ives, known as Downalong. |

The Downalong area is the heart and soul
of St Ives with its abundance of fisherman's cottages, lining
the maze of cobbled streets, with hanging baskets and beautiful
flowers, the area is a blaze of colour in the spring and summer
months.
